MATES OF NATURE is a sustainable, slow-fashion label that has been winning more and more hearts with its minimalist cork bags for several years. The name is a statement for nature, environment, design, fashion, creativity, quality and for friendship.
MATES OF NATURE products combine sustainability with stylish and minimalist design. Our designs are developed in Germany with great care and attention to detail. The renewable raw material cork is aesthetic and robust at the same time. One of the most beautiful aspects of cork is the natural pattern - each piece is unique.
Fair working conditions, fair wages and no child labor are a matter of course for us - that's why we manufacture in the EU according to the highest quality guidelines in cooperation with a small traditional company. We rely on short supply chains and, through our production in Portugal, particularly strengthen the regions to which we owe our most important raw material, cork. By using cork textiles, we promote the expansion and reforestation of cork oak forests.
We have been certified by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) as an Approved Vegan Partner. As an animal-friendly label, all our models are vegan and free from animal materials.
